Into Fashion? Here Is Some Fabulous Fashion to Consume on YouTube
A Fashion List of Series & Podcasts That Any Style Lover Will Adore
Happy Black History Month loves!
With this month being all about showing love, I wanted to highlight my love of fashion content creators and podcasters who I ride hard for, in this weeks post. And I do apologize for the late post. Your girl was down bad with a sickness honey, but thankfully it was not Flu or the Covid (thank you vaccinations)!
If you are a fashion content consumer, then I’m going to confidently assume you are like me and love to watch or listen to anything dealing in fashion. From fashion documentary series, podcasts, fashion news, sit down interviews, and fashion chats, I could go on a spree of all the different options on YouTube you can dive into!
So instead of going on a fun tangent as I usually do, here is a list of enjoyable shows & series on YouTube that gives fashion takes and entertainment!
And as a note, this is in my opinion a very short list and in no ranking order. All of these creatives are vastly different with one continuous element: being unapologetically themselves. Rather it’s their different perspectives, career experiences, or fabulous style aesthetics!
If you don’t know who Jenee Naylor is then let me put you on! Already in her 3rd season, Jenee Naylor has taken her love of fashion sharing and styling content into a beautiful fun and style centered interview show series.
Rather interviewing other beloved YouTube content creators, fashion entrepreurs, stylists, and others who exude their own style (I’m talking Danessa Myricks owner of THE Danessa Myricks beauty brand, the Nigerian-American Nikki Ogunnaike Editor in Chief of Elle Magazine, and Janelle James from Abbot Elementary!) to say I am obsessed with this series is an understatement.
I am also beyond loving her Closet series live chats which to me is the equivalent of a chill hang out sess your fellow fashion lover. Talking over the newest and latest fashion finds & fragrance finds. Plus the appearances with FrankntheCity just fills me with such joy.
I can’t tell what I love more honestly. From the cute jazzyintro that makes me feel like what Sex and the City wishes it could be, to the fun keekeeing about just fashion & life with her friends, to learning about all of these iconic fashion figures stories.
Jenee has such a plethora of fashion experience from her retail experience beginning in Aldo from her merchandising management of Target stores (like 70 stores ya’ll) to her 6 plus years on content creation. If you are wanting to start in content creation, get into luxury pre-loved deliciousness, beauty then learn from this all around fashion baddie!

I adore her natural hair videos which remind me to keep pouring into my own crown and inspire my creative juices on how to use my hair as art as well. And Helecia’s travel content? Made me book my passport appointment ASAP! I have loved all of her travels from Lisbon, Bali, or Singapore and others, Helecia brings the travel looks!

Karen has been in the content creation and fashion blogging space for over 15 years and her infectious excitement around fashion, styling advice, and overall energy is another infectious fashion lover you should know. I love watching Karen as she is one of the OG bloggers and content creators who started in the game before the game was even in true creation.
Some of the original tools or tips many fashion lover’s use today came from content creators like Karen. Remember using the color wheel to pair your colors together? Karen was one of the firsts! The Cutting Room Floor by Recho Omondi
To be honest I am not a huge podcaster, I just love the visuals honey. However, the work that Recho Omondi has done with her podcast The Cutting Room Floor has begun to turn made me into a podcaster!
I love her wit, humor, how she conducts interviews, and truly just makes me feel as a viewer that I am peaking behind the illusional veil of the industry of fashion and other spaces through her interviewee’s.
A fashion designer at her core who’s come into the fashion media space, Omondi brings out the foundations of being a true critic of fashion and asking the questions that are necessary to be objective and thought provoking. Because at the end of the day, fashion -as fabulous as it is & toxic as any- is a business at the end of the day. However, Omondi’s voice and approach makes discussing fashion fun in dissecting & analyzing the nuances of the business through Omondi’s interviews.
Omondi has conducting amazing interviews with the image architect himself Law Roach, other stylists like Dione Davis, the icon Cynthia Erivo, Moj Mahdara CEO of Beauty Con, HauteLaMode’s Luke Meagher and so many more. You can find her many of her interviews in the platforms below, including on her Patreon page where some of her more exclusive content lives!
If you are part of the fashion industry, find the nuances of what makes style fascinating, or enjoy podcasts give her a listen!

Capsule Wardrobe Series & Fashion Hot Takes by Tashira of Politics + Fashion
One thing about Ms.Tashira, she will always give you several laughs, a new perspective, and some thought on how you can create your closet (and your life) with intention & into a true capsule wardrobe.
A civil rights lawyer by trade & as an individual who has no problem speaking the truth on politics in this country, her fashion content and information is just as fabulous as the educational consciousness you will receive from her.
Based in the DMV area, Tashira is that rich auntie you want to be and operates always as her authentic self that I think everyone can to learn from. I also thoroughly enjoying reading her Politics+Fashion blog and listening to her justUs podcast with her professor & lawyer friend Margo!
JustUs does not center on fashion generally. However the podcast discusses political shifts, important hot topics & news affecting woman, black people, LGBTQIA, other disproportionately ignored groups of people, and just all around educating people on facts about what’s going to or what’s effecting everyone.
Tashira is just that girl honestly whose boss moves and how she shares her story of what lead her to this entrepreneurial road is another individual who inspires me to invest in myself professionally & personally. All that she has shared is so vital and I just love supporting and seeing her growth as well! I can’t wait to see her wedding to her partner on YouTube or Instagram as well!
If you are into trying to cultivate a closet you can be proud of, boss up on your own entrepreneurial endeavors, or just enjoy a good ol’ chitchat with a fashion lover, then go ahead and follow Tashira as well!

One of my favorite episodes to tune into is the Harlem Fashion Row interviews done by the CEO Brandice Daniel! If you are searching for just a plethora of exposure to black designers, receiving first hand stories from said designers, and iconic stylists check out HFR’s seasons on YouTube.
Harlem Fashion Row (HFR) as a company who’s all about promoting and providing support for multinational designers and fashion brands through fashion retail collaborations, partnerships, and educational support. Rather it’s their own fashion shows they put to give exposure to designers, summit programs for those wanting to work in various capacities of the industry, internships, or being that bridge for big retail collaborations, there is just a great support through HRF.
If Harlems Fashion Row sounds familiar, you may have heard of designers they have brought into iconic collections on HSN, Nordstrom, H&M, and a new collaboration that launched online on February 14 with GAPxHFR. This 16-piece limited edition collection on GAP features designers such as Aaron Potts, Bruce and Glen Proctor, KAPHILL by Krystal A Phillips , Nicole King, and RichFresh!
HFR’s YouTube has Brandice Daniel conducting intimately warm interviews with designers from the namesake designer Brandon Blackwood, stylist icon June Ambrose, Hanifa designer Anifa Muuemba, the style architect himself Law Roach, writer Elaine Weltroth, icon Kelly Roland, and so many more.
So if you enjoy conversational interviews, hearing about personal stories, and getting to know the creator behind the hard work of these designs, check out HRF.

Honestly what doesn’t Alicia do that isn’t fabulous? From her quick styling videos, to the weekly what I wore videos, makeup vibes, hair tutorials, and she has her own Accessories company on top of it all (and that’s just a little of what this woman does)!
Alicia is the exact person you are looking for if you are needing quick style inspiration or are wanting vibes on how to layer your jewelry! And because she has her background in finance and extensive travel experience overseas and in the states, her advice is definitely one to take note from. I am beyond inspired by Alicia’s work ethic juggling all of these roles on top of being there for her friends, family, and evolution as a Mom!
I have bought and talked about my jewelry purchases from her brand LivinFearlessCollection which is one of my favorite go to brands for luxurious everyday & affordable accessories. Plus her flat fedora hats are my ultimate guilty pleasure and I love rocking them!
So rather it is indulging in your own obsessions of styling, learning about new bags she’s bought (I mean her birthday bag she bought herself from Polène is gorgeous!), gaining financial tips to get your funds right, or just getting inspired in general, Alicia is a real one to follow for sure!
Where to get to know Alicia more!
Alright loves that’s my list of some fashion avenues I get my own information, style inspiration, and entertainment from on YouTube! And like I stated earlier this is a very small list, not even scratching the surface of how much I really consume.
Are there any people you listen to Podcast wise or watch on YouTube that’s not mentioned? Or are you also a fan of some listed above? Let me know your thoughts!
Oh also just another podcast and YouTube channel to share is “Your Favorite Auntie Podcast” by Marjon Carlos who’s a new addition to my list & Frilancy Hoyle who is another favorite of mine! Literally the fashion Aunties I wish were in my family lineage or I am manifesting to become.
Also I apologize for the late post, your girl has come down with a sickness something fierce honey!
Until Next Week,
Xo,
Sierra
