Fashion Colors to Explore in 2025
My Top 4 Colors I Am Forecasting, Will Dominate 2025.
The beauty of fashion is to express yourself and to have fun with it! And one of the things I absolutely get beyond excited about at the top of the year is the forecasting and predictions of the year’s fashion color.
When it comes to fashion colors or colors in abundance in a given season, I use it generally as a creative guide. A guide to explore styling my fashions in ways I never thought of. Especially when it comes to going outside of what my own natural fashion patterns are. Plus it’s a nice push to continue to have fun and benfree with my fashion! I hope this conversation will inspire you to consider doing this with your own curated closet.
The Muse of Mocha Mousse
We all know the iconic company Pantone, whose industry advice since the 1960s has been influencing and laying out the guide for not just fashion, but the zeitgeist of what this upcoming moment will feel like and the overall mood it’ll evoke for that time. The reach of the zeitgeist can include everything from decor, lifestyle, the priorities & focuses of the times, cars, and of course clothes!
This year Pantone’s color is Mocha Mousse 17-1230, which is this beautifully whipped, richly cool-warm soft brown. Lucious, cozy, and calm, this mousse brown hue, represents an overall want to connect, to be comforted, and to give into our own desires as well as sharing time with others.
Now Mocha Mousse is a beautiful color, and I for one love bringing out my browns all season long. However, I believe there will be some other color ways that will dominate our fashion eyes for 2025. And felt like sharing those inspirations to get our fashion creative thoughts some extra buzz! So inspired by Pantone and others, here are the fashion colors that my fashion intuition is pointing to as being the most sought out this fashion season!
Mystically Zingy Greens
Now I might be bias (as a lover of green) but I am beyond excited to see Green popping up more! Green is definitly forecasted to have a bright moment in 2025 and 2026. From pistachio & matcha shades, to mossy & olive toned greens are at the forefront when it comes to ranges to play around with. Green is one of those colors that to me is both as calming as it is invigorating. And similar to other colors, works as a great pop of color, and a nice supporting color. One of those colors that just goes beautifully with the warmest of colors and the coolest of color ways.
If you are more of a bright and poppy color lover those zingy lemongrass greens and bright citron or lime greens will be in play beautifully in your wardrobe. And even for the natural neutral minimalists out there, these greens are a calm way to bring out the brightness too.
Antiqued Blues
Blue is coming back in a fun way this season as well. Very similar to color ranges that green will be in with some slight differences. This year, we will be veering away from the denim washes and more poppy cobalt blues. Other color’s to play with in the blue range will be rich navy’s, blue-grey hues, Turkish blues, periwinkles, and rich powdery blues will have a spot light moment throughout the year.
Great way to add more of a rich cool or saturated jewel tone pallet to your wardrobe. And these colors go great with greys, pinks, neautrals, and especially goes great with the next color to watch out for!
Zesty Juicy Orange
I don’t know about you but orange is one of those mood boosting colors in my life when I’ve been in a ru (creatively and personally). Plus, orange is one of those perfect warm colors that is can play well with other similar warm colors and a great way to contrast a cool color palette.
For this season, Orange will be popping up in very zingy, bright, and poppy color ways. Not so subtle or pastel like. Think citron oranges, bold blood oranges, airy sunrises or sunsets, sun bursting tones, and ones that are blended with mustard yellows. Utilize this color when you want an optimistic bright and exciting vibe during this years fashions.
Twisted ‘n Remixed Grey
In my fashion mind, grey has been that girl who has been a consistent and persistent fashion option. From the runways to brick and mortar stores, for the past couple of years greyes have been winking at us to give it a creative spin. Falling back into love with suiting and men’s tailoring has really popularized the vibes especially looks like Thom Browne’s pre fall 2024 and 2023 runway show that really popularized stripes last year. I mean Doechii at this years Grammy’s truly sent me to fashion euphoria in custom fitted Thom Browne!
As I personally continue getting into evolving my personal style, grey has become a color I appreciate. Very similar to black, greyes always in my opinion receive a bad rep of being considered overly simple and minimal. Definitely an unsung color in a way. Rather it is cool toned or mixed with a dash of warmth, greyes meld beautifully with silvers, golds, jewel tones, and even warmer color pallets. Greyes can act as a great neutral support to an outfit but can also really be bold in a pattern and contrast with pastels too.
For 2025 greyes are going to continue being prominent in adding twists to traditional patterns or styles and popping up in blended hues. From blue greyes, cool ice tones, brown blended undertones, and more. So definitely show those greyes in your closet some love this season!
