Fall Edit: Essential Shoes of the Season
These are the top shoes styles that will are the most lovable and chic for the fall and winter season.
When it comes to the colder months a good fall and winter shoe is all about texture, richly saturated colors, height, and range of chunky to sleek silhouettes.
Rather you are a knee high boot lover, kitten heel aficionado, a mule lover, or all about the textured shoes there is a bunch of range for the fall and winter season!
Knee High Boots
A knee high boot is definitly for the bold baddies who enjoy a statement. Plus there is so much benefits in this shoe! From elongating your legs, to additional warmth, and on top of that another great layering piece to any outfit.
No matter if it is a knee high boot with a kitten heel, block heel, stiletto, or a platform, a knee high boot immediately sets any fit with an edgy look. If you are intrigued by the style of a knee high boot, but not sure if it’s your jam, I would try out flat booted knee highs or kitten heels.
That way you can focus on the feel of a knee high without the concern for that extra height!
Loafers
As a loafer addict and lover, there is nothing better than this style in my opinion!
Rather flat, platformed, pointed, rusched, or something of an in between, a loafer is the best casual and professional shoe. This fabulous shoe style is also just an easy piece for anybody to incorporate into their wardrobe and comes in so many variations that there is bound to be a loafer for anybody no matter their style.
The loafer type that has been popping up on a lot of new arrivals this season, are either calf skin loafers, blended textiles of leather with another material, and saturated patterns and colorways like burgundy.
Kitten Heels
As a 5’3 cutie, I for one, am not a huge heel girl. But don’t get me wrong! I have a couple of ride or die heels that are ready for formation when I need them. And when I mean “them” I mean kitten heels!
The beauty of kittens is how it makes me feel. Similar to their traditional 3 in. and taller cousins would. With a Kitten Heel there is that powerful energy and elongated appearance when stomping in some bomb heels, but with an added comfort level. Plus in addition to that immediate confidence, you have that sex appeal, and can still achieve an intriguing statement look.
So in my fashion mind, a reliable kitten heel is my personal logical option. And if you are wanting to try a heel that doesn’t compromise comfort over the look, try her out this season.
Ballet, Square, Pointed Toed Flats
Flats for the fall and winter season is an essential on those days that start off and end just cool. Perfect for those no snow days and just crisp vibes. Also a great option to have if you want to change into a different shoe from your heavy winter boots when you’re at work! Flats this season have been all about the ballet moment. Super cutesy and fun for sure.
However if that’s not your speed no worries! You can still find an elevated flat in a square moment for a chic librarian vibe or more on the chic edge with a pointed flat. In my opinion your flats or loafers are still essential for the colder months because sometimes hun, you want a break from the boots. And these are basically the flip flops for the fall and winter season!
Faux Fur, Calf Skin, & Suede Boots
If you are wanting that texture, that “mmm!”moment, or just that “Damn” wow factor for the colder season then the faux fur, calf skin, or suede boot is for you! I love these boots for a great addition to adding intrigue to any look but also are a great universal pieces to make any outfit more elevated.
Plus the colors, variations of aesthetics, and style references that are available, anyone can find what speaks the most to them. From the most retro, to the round the way fly girl energy, and or edgy cool vibe whatever you might be seeking is out there!
Do you have one, two, or several styles of shoes you love styling in your fall and winter wardrobe? Let me know. I definitely have my eye on several things!
I’ll see you in the next edit!
Xoxo,
Sierra
