Fall Edit: Cardigans, Sweaters, & Sweatshirts
This edit is all about that cozy topper that is essential for anyone! From the coziest of cardigans, to those deliciously knit sweaters, and sweatshirts.
When it comes to the cooler and down right bone chilling months the main themes on my mind for my fits are: balance the chicness with the coziest garments I have. I don’t think in any capacity you have to sacrifice being comfortable and warm with looking sophisticated or elevated. You can definitely have both!
So for this edit it’s all about those put together pieces that make you look so intentionally thoughtful, when in actuality it is your most easiest and comfiest warm pieces (as close to your pajamas as we can get too).
This seasons knits, sweatshirts, and cardigans are still bringing that sleek minimal aesthetic but you can find rib knits in varying widths, from oversized to slim fit, zipper and button intriguing details, and in more color ways than even what have for you.
Knits
Knits are always a no brainer and an essential piece for layer for the fall and winter months. Something to just keep the warmth in as a stand alone piece such as heat thermal layering piece’s, knits are the best piece in anyone’s closet. Rather you are looking for a thermal basic, a layering hero piece, or just to up date your wardrobe’s foundational pieces here are some stand out pieces to get you started!
Turtleneck
When it comes to the colder months, I am one of those people who enjoy being bundled up from the neck down! And other than a great infinity or blanket scarf, a fabulous turtleneck always keeps me warm, cozy, & chic no matter the fit. From form fitting silhouettes, to oversized, boxy, sparkly, and textured, the options are endless.
Paired under a structured blazer, maxi coat, a puffer jacket, or tweed light weight coat, this piece is going to be your favorite to grab almost everyday for the fall and winter.
My advice consider purchasing your favorite colors, to make getting ready a breeze!
Knit & Sweater Sets
I’m not going to lie, when it comes to the beauty of sets, I for one, did not understand its ease until recently! So if your like me, let me put you on.
Sweater or knit sets are a great tool in any wardrobe because it’s basically your outfit already done for you without any thought. Because of that, the beauty of a set is that it is paired intentionally together!
From the design, the materials, and pattern, it is your one and go outfit for the season. Whether it is on those early morning hustle days, all day festivities, or just in those chill moments chilly days a set we’ll get you a quick put together fit! Plus when you in the mood to switch things up and mix and match, a set’s options continues to be limitless.
Classic & Unique Sweaters
I mean what is there to say about a sweater that hasn’t been said already? Another piece that for the most part makes experiencing the fall & winter season!
In my fashion mind, one of the best things about a sweater, is that you can get the classic or an elevated & fun take. From your rounded collar to a unique combination design take on knits, embellished, sparkly, bright colors, wide knit, or in your traditional turtleneck style and pattern.
Sweater options again are beyond traditional to choose from.
Essential Sweatshirts & Hoodies
On my down days or errand runs a hoodie or a sweatshirt is one of the things I am quick to grab in the colder months. Plop that under a teddy coat, oversized blazer, or bomber and I am out the door!
Rather it is a cotton blend, sweater style, design forward vibe, zip or no zip, no matter the style these are a must to have for those easy casual days when you need a cozy fashion incentive to go outside.
Polo’s & Zip Up Sweaters
There is something so chic and casual about a zip up or polo sweater. I personally have a couple zip ups and am searching for a nice polo!
Zip up sweaters are like the more versatile version of your classic polo knit top. And I love that you can find an oversized version, a slim version, or patterned versions. There is a plethora of options to choose from with these too from glitter, wool blends, sweater knit, and ribbed knit. Plus you can easily put them over your head with out disrupting your makeup or hair and get every cozier when you zip it all the way up!
Polos are very rugby-esque & scholastic cool. And the colors and patterns always make me personally happy to see! From cotton blend, sweater knit, or designed with varying textiles together, finding a sporty warm piece is easy with an elevated polo!

as most of us love shopping, a true hunter of clothes knows you can find a bomb fit from your local thrift store (my personal favorite is my local D.A.V.), to Marshall’s, a COS, and anywhere in between.
So just keep your eye out and open to anything that speaks to you. And always remember to put your own special spice on it!
