The Fashion Color's on Everyone’s List for 2024
Left to right: @jeneenaylor, @monroesteele, @simimoonlight,
2024 was all about not shying away from that true natural red. I’m talking thriller red or that beautiful Lucious red that the brand Salvatore Feragamo has claim to, the mixing of metallics, and emphasis on that neutral sophistication.
But this upcoming fashion season, 2025 is all about colors that communicate rich saturation, and highlighting colors outside of the primary tones. Specifically in darker reds like burgandy, or merlots, saturation of greens like matcha or even charteursr, buttery creamy yellows, and variations of blue.
Fashion Tip: Use these fashion colors to mix up what’s already in your wardrobe or incorporate them through your accessories. This can be through shoes, jewelry, hair accessories, bags, or even scarves so you can try it out without a seemingly full commitment!
Richer Reds
This seasons reds give “darker the berry the look is sweeter” type of energy. So the richer and more sensual the red the better! Reds such as those bold reds like the color the brand Salvatore Feragona is known for is still trending for the past two years but now the spectrum is turning to the darker and blended variety. Think dark & tart cherry reds, sexy burgundy, and intriguing merlots. Even th reds that are blended like more purple reds & brown undertone reds.
Rather it is in faux leathers, tweeds, or your thicker knits you will have a plethora of rich reds to choose from this season! I for one and am in love with these oxfords from Mango, & and love the recent look book for COS recently released.
Creamy Yellow’s
Buttery yellow’s began popping up in our accessories options but this year she is popping up in every category! Rather it is in a fine knit top, tweedy light jacket, or wide leg trousers this creamy yellow can act as a nice refreshing breather to your richer darker colors for the autumn/winter season. I personally think this is beautifully with grey’s, various oranges, browns, winter or pistachio greens, even your navy’s would pair beautifully with this colorway. For the winter season, look for these colors in leathers, plaids, fine shimmer materials, lace, tweeds, and coated denim is always a fun shine to play up.
Exuberant Greens
One thing about me is that me and green go down bad together! So seeing green pop up in various ways throughout runways, in streetstyles, and offered in the stories brings me nothing but pure joy!
If Kelly and Neon Green took over during 2020/2021 fashion years, this year is all about those matcha, chartreuse, and winter or piney greens. These I would say are more nuanced greens that range from the creamier spectrum, to the darker more mixed with richer blacks or blues, and even greens mixed with browns or taupe’s so it takes on an even more neutral hue.
Based on the color wheel, green is amazing with yellows, blues, but don’t be afraid to mix it up! Try purples in similar hues with green, or khaki, soft pinks, burnt oranges, and even greys.
Shades of Greys
If you have been tuning into the fashion superbowl season of Fashion Week throughout the year, then you definitely caught that grey was about to flood our fashion colors this year for sure!
It’s all about taking that minimal chic that we have been in a chokehold with up a notch with all the shady grey tones. This is about sleek, sexy, sophisticated greys in light tones, black-grey hues, dark-blue greys, and variations of stripes!
As grey is considered a cool tone color, it will always eat in a monochromatic moment but plays beautifully with navy’s, off greys, baby blues, denim, and even with the other fashion colors this season. And silver accessories mesh so well with silver’s but even combining it with golds or mixed silver & gold metallics will add a nice pop too!
If you are going for sophisticated edge added to your wardrobe this season, try grey out for a spin!
Hues of Blues
While enjoying the various runway shows, I saw very suttle pops of blues weaving in and out of runway shows and also in new launch clothes in stores.
Many of these blues I would not say are jewel tones but subtle from soft baby blues, pigeon blues, and rich navy’s. I also noted that this pop of blues was emphasized with the stripe trend really taking forefront for 2025 from every brand.
These types of blue’s act as a beautiful neutral or supportive color to the other colors listed in the fashion trend for this year as well as by itself. You can pair these types of blue’s with any denim wash, off white colors, black’s, darker richer blues, burnt oranges, lilac or lavender’s, even browns will look amazing too!
So there are the top fashion colors that will be coming in a variety of textiles, styles, and accessories this year.
Are there any color’s that speak the most to you? I know for me I will be bringing back out my greens and picking up that burgundy oxford from Mango!
Until Next Time,
Xo
